The buzz has been building for the album with early radio and media support, which has led to strong digital pre-sales that pushed Nightlights into the #10 position on the iTunes Top 200 Christian Album chart.

Nightlights was produced by Calvin Turner (Marc Broussard) and features twelve new songs written or co-written by Needham, with the thirteenth song being a remake of the pop classic, “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You).” The lead single from the project, “Yours To Take,” is currently #26 on the National Christian Audience chart, which translates into an audience of around 1.33 million people.

Needham has just returned from a trip to Israel where he led worship for a group of believers from Houston and is back in Houston gearing up for two sold-out CD release concerts in Katy, TX Sunday, May 16 and The Woodlands, TX, Tuesday, May 18, which is street day. The May 18th show will broadcast live at Needham’s website, www.JimmyNeedham.com or www.Facebook.com/JimmyNeedham, 8:00 – 9:30 pm EDT where millions of fans around the world can watch Needham’s performance. The Houston Chronicle will be covering the show for an upcoming artist feature that will run later this month highlighting Needham’s incredible career.

Following the Texas concerts, Needham will head back east for tapings with LeSea Broadcasting’s Harvest Show and Live From Studio B. In between the media appearances, Needham made several visits to radio stations across the country that include K-Love; Air 1; KSWP/Lufkin, TX; KVNE/Tyler, TX; Pulse-FM/South Bend, IN; KWND/Springfield, MO and The Wind/Indianapolis, IN. Needham will return to Nashville the following week for a live appearance May 25 on Fox 17’s Tennessee Mornings and a taping with WSMV’s Better Nashville that will air May 28.

Needham has additional media coverage on tap for Nightlights including: Living With Teenagers (September review and October feature), Essential Connection (review), StandFirm magazine (artist profile February 2011), Worship Leader magazine (June review), JesusFreakHideout.com (feature and review), HearitFirst.com (podcast interview and performance), BBC Radio (interview), CCM (Story Behind Song Feature), ChristianMusicToday.com (review). And early reviews have been overwhelming in their accolades for Needham’s new project.

CCM – The growth curve climbed exactly as imagined…the Houston native’s progression continues at the same impressive rate as before on Nightlights.

NewReleaseTuesday.com – a collection of lucent, engaging lyrics matched with music that’s fresh, fun and downright funky.

Phantom Tollbooth – On Jimmy Needham’s Nightlights, soul reigns.

Christian Music Review – Nightlights is the best overall album by Jimmy Needham and one of my top albums of 2010.

About Jimmy Needham:

Needham released his first album, Speak, in 2006, on Inpop Records, and it generated respect and well-earned recognition from the Christian music industry for this talented singer/songwriter from Katy, Texas. The CD generated three singles “Fence Riders (#14),’ “Dearly Loved (#8),” and “Lost At Sea,” which charted for an incredible twelve weeks at the #2 position. Needham’s second project, Not Without Love resulted in four hit singles including “Forgiven and Loved” as the break-out Christian AC hit, climbing to #6 nationally, while “A Breath Or Two,” peaked at #3 at Christian CHR radio. Needham is headling his first tour in 2010 and has formerly toured with such acts as Natalie Grant, BarlowGirl, Rush Of Fools and Superchick. Needham also just concluded an artist-in-residence program at Fellowship of the Woodlands in The Woodlands, Texas, which will also host Needham’s official album release event on Tuesday, May 18th. Integrity Music Signs UK’s Abundant Life Ministries To Exclusive Recording/Publishing Agreement

Written by Scoops Staff on May 11, 2010 – 11:15 am -

ALM:uk’s First CD, Name Above All Names, to Release in June

MOBILE, Ala. and BRADFORD, England – For more than two decades, Integrity Music has introduced new worship songs emerging from churches around the world including Gateway, New Life and Lakewood in the U.S. and Hillsong in Australia. The label’s latest discovery is Abundant Life Ministries a dynamic, multi-cultural church based in Bradford, England and led by pastor and renowned speaker/author Paul Scanlon.

“I’ve been challenged by Abundant Life’s passion for the lost and really believe that they model excellence in both worship and in the ‘hands and feet’ ministry that will be useful to other churches worldwide,” says Chris Springer, Integrity’s senior director of A&R. “It’s truly an honor for us to represent them.”
Integrity and Abundant Life have entered a long-term publishing and recording agreement for the church’s two worship entities, ALM:uk and RPM, their youth worship band.

The debut CD from ALM:uk, Name Above All Names, is slated for an international release to more than 160 countries with a U.S. street date of June 15. The album features new songs written by the Abundant Life staff including worship leaders Mark Stevens, Matt Hooper and Jock James, who chronicled the recording process at http://www.youtube.com/user/abundantlifeworship.

To resource the Church, Integrity created companion resources for Name Above All Names including CD tracks, a songbook and a digital songbook, all of which will release with the album in June.

“Our heart and our mission behind our album is to provide great congregational songs that help the local church and local church worship teams connect with God in a really strong, faith-filled and practical way,” said  Matt Hooper.  (Previously, the ALM:uk worship team released independent albums in the UK, including its most recent Send Me, in 2007.)

Name Above All Names was recorded in-studio in Nashville, Tenn. and in Bradford, England with the help of Dove Award-winning producer Bernie Herms, known for his work with Casting Crowns, Phillips, Craig & Dean, Selah and Brad Paisley.

Herms and his wife Natalie Grant often attend Abundant Life’s services when they visit England and it was Herms who introduced Integrity to the ALM:uk staff.  Understanding the label’s heart for sharing new worship songs with the global community, he immediately connected the two.

Says Herms of the church, “Each time I’ve had the privilege of being at Abundant Life, I’ve encountered an awesome move of God’s spirit that I believe is the direct fruit of an uncommonly passionate church body.  They are radically devoted to reaching their city and the world with an authentic brand of 21st century Christianity.”

Integrity’s UK office director, Jonathan Bugden adds: “If ever there was a church that expresses its life and worship through loving their neighbors, this is it! And with the economic and social needs in Bradford, they are a light on a hill, bringing the good news to desperate people who need to know Jesus.”

Abundant Life is a growing congregation that includes a wide mix of ages, backgrounds and cultures. Their three campus locations are the main church in Bradford, an economically depressed area in northern England that is home to the country’s second largest Muslim community, as well as campuses in Leeds (England) and in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The church is known for its outreaches into each area, including spiritual and practical help for their communities.

Additional information on ALM:uk can be found at http://www.abundantlifeworship.co.uk.  RPM can be found online at http://www.myspace.com/rpmlive.

VICKY BEECHING RETURNS WITH NEW LABEL AND NEW CD; ETERNITY INVADES APRIL 6

Written by Scoops Staff on March 23, 2010 – 10:10 am -

MOBILE, Ala. (March 22, 2010) – Vicky Beeching has always desired to be a worship leader first and recording artist second.  Integrity Music could see this was her true DNA, so now, after a two year recording absence, Beeching releases her Integrity debut, Eternity Invades, on April 6.
Eternity Invades is worth the wait.  The CD re-introduces Beeching as one of today’s most gifted female worship leaders, and her new music is a testament to her credentials as both a thoughtful theologian and accomplished musician and songwriter.  With Eternity Invades, Beeching offers 13 new worship songs that will have as much power being sung by intimate chapel gatherings, mega-church congregations or by just a single man or woman yearning to draw heaven into earth.
Watch an EPK of Beeching, shot mostly in London, at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdkjNJG7fnc.

Eternity Invades was produced by upcoming new producer Jonathan MacIntosh (a former guitarist for Tim Hughes, Brenton Brown, Kevin Max and more).  Beeching wrote all of the songs on the record, including collaborations with Robin Mark, Steve Fee and others.
“For me, the title sums up the record,” said Beeching. “It’s about raising our expectation of what can happen in the context of worship – reminding us that it’s a supernatural encounter and that God’s Kingdom can break in – eternity can invade, if we are seeking and wanting that.”
Accordingly, Beeching wanted the record to sound as big as the concept, and cites groups U2 and Coldplay as sonic touchstones.  “I wanted to create something that sounds like me and my band do in a live setting,” she said. “I wanted to make music that is fresh and edgy, while still being very congregational and church friendly.”

The album’s first single is “Salvation Day,” and it is already gaining momentum at radio.  Beeching will spend the week before street date, visiting radio to talk about the song and the full CD project.  She also has a full slate of shows and worship events she will be participating in throughout the spring and summer.

Beeching has embraced social media with a highly active presence online through her personal Blog, Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo and other networking sites. A few weeks ago she launched her newest online venture, the Women In Worship Network: www.womeninworshipnetwork.com.  Beeching hosts this new community, where she offers encouragement to female worship leaders, and the opportunity for them to connect with one another via a mini social network and forums.
The site had over 2,000 visits on its first day and has over 200 active members of the network’s member
Equally important to women in ministry is Beeching’s role as an advocate for social justice and she has involved herself with organizations like Hope for Justice, Compassion International and The International Justice Mission.
“Justice is a huge ethereal reality, but God breaks it down into bite-sized chunks in passages like Isaiah 51. It’s about opening your eyes when someone is suffering, not turning away. If everybody did that, we really could change the world,” she said.
The 30-year-old Beeching was raised in the UK by parents in church ministry and grandparents who served as missionaries in Africa and Israel.  She began writing songs when she was just 11, and later, was inspired to prepare for her calling into music by pursuing a theology degree at Oxford University, one of Britain’s most prestigious schools.
In the UK, Beeching partnered with Vineyard Music (where she worked with Integrity labelmate Brian Doerkson), writing and performing songs on the Hungry, Holy, Surrender and Best of Vineyard projects. She also worked on staff at Soul Survivor in London, contributing to their People’s Album and Live Worship 2005. During these years she led worship

alongside Matt Redman, Tim Hughes and Brenton Brown.

Beeching felt God calling her Stateside and obediently moved to the U.S. in 2004.  Two critically acclaimed CDs later (2005’s Yesterday Today and Forever and 2007’s Painting The Invisible), she has led worship in almost all 50 States,
as well as coast to coast across Canada and throughout Europe.
Beeching is featured in the current issue of Worship Leader in which she addresses the topic of theology in songwriting.  She also has an active blog on her website www.vickybeeching.com with photos and behind-the-scenes posts from the
recording studio and on the road.  Beeching’s Twitter address is www.twitter.com/vickybeeching.

Eternity Invades will be available to Christian retail stores through Provident-Integrity Distribution and will be available
through all major digital service providers. In addition, Integrity International will distribute the project to over 160 countries.

Portland Rock Band, Sixteen Cities, Signs With Centricity Music

Written by Scoops Staff on March 3, 2010 – 9:28 am -

National Self-Titled Debut To Release April 20, 2010

Nashville, TN —- Modern rock band, Sixteen Cities, has signed with Centricity Music and is scheduled to release their self-titled debut April 20, 2010.  The project was produced by Jason Ingram (Meredith Andrews, Tenth Avenue North), Rusty Varenkamp (Bebo Norman, Rush of Fools) and Steve Wilson (Hawk Nelson, Leeland).  The project will be distributed by EMI Distribution.

“At Centricity we not only try to honor the artists’ talent but more importantly we embrace their ministry,” says Chris Hamilton, Manager A&R, Centricity Music.  “Sixteen Cities is such a talented group of artists that have been compared to The Fray, Jars Of Clay and The Afters.  But what really impacted us at the label, was their ministry with the unchurched in public high schools around the country. It has become a very powerful and effective calling that also translates well with the more traditional music venues.”

“In high school, we started out by leading our peers in worship on Wednesday mornings and we fell in love with it,” recalls the band’s lead vocalist and keyboardist, Josiah Warneking.  “As soon as we graduated, we all prayed and sought God’s true heart and will. We felt called to full-time music ministry, but knew nothing about the music industry.  A week or two later we got a phone call from a guy with a ministry called Common Ground, which is basically a huge production with concerts, games and a Gospel presentation in a public school. So here we were thinking we’d have no chance to continue singing to students after having just graduated, and we wound up in front of hundreds and sometimes thousands of teenagers in gymnasiums singing about Jesus.”

Sixteen Cities hails from Portland, Oregon and the group started performing as a band in their early years of high school.  The group’s moniker was inspired by the tribe of Issachâr in Joshua 19, which also understood the current needs of its generation.  The band’s modern rock sound and heartfelt messages began connecting with fans within the indie Northwest music scene.  Sixteen Cities began garnering national recognition when a friend at a Christian bookstore started passing their CD around the industry and Centricity Music invited them to their indie artist retreat, which led to their label deal in 2008.  Sixteen Cities remains an active touring band and has toured with such other acts as Kutless, Building 429, Fireflight and Sanctus Real.

For more information on Sixteen Cities please visit online at www.sixteencities.com and www.myspace.com/sixteencities.

ME IN MOTION TO JOIN SANCTUS REAL TOUR 2010

Written by Scoops Staff on February 23, 2010 – 9:16 pm -

MARKS THEIR THIRD MAJOR TOUR IN A YEAR

Nashville, TN (February 23, 2010) —- Centricity Music’s powerhouse band, Me In Motion, will join Sanctus Real on its 2010 Tour that launches March 3rd and ends May 7th. The tour also features Above the Golden State and Addison Road. This marks the third major tour for the newcomer band in the last twelve months, as they were featured on the Newsboys fall tour in 2009 and the RED/Pillar tour in January and February 2010.

“Next week marks the beginning of an exciting new tour as we’ll be hitting the road with one of our longtime favorite Christian bands, Sanctus Real,” says Seth Mosley, lead singer, Me In Motion. “We love their message, their music, their hearts and are extremely excited to share the stage with them.  We’ll be playing a new song, ‘Seek Justice, Love Mercy,’ from our upcoming self-titled CD and it’s our first time to play the tune live.  We are extremely excited to share it with the fans and we believe that now is a critical time for this message to be heard loud and clear. We feel quite certain that no audience will leave unchanged, but called to live out their faith in a radical new way. Me in Motion is thrilled to be a part of this with Sanctus Real, Above The Golden State and Addison Road.”

“It is a joy to work with a band that is as dedicated as Me In Motion is with their ministry,” states Steve Ford, Vice President of Marketing, Centricity Music. “Success in this business takes aggressive touring, along with strong radio, and Me In Motion has both. It has been such a great time for our team to partner with a group that works as hard as we do.”

On the tour, Me In Motion will perform additional songs from their new debut project that releases March 23, 2010. The first single from the new album, “Losers,” is currently number 18 and climbing on the CHR chart. The video for “Losers” debuted on the Air1 website and is being played on various video outlets, including the Gospel Music Channel.

Me In Motion, which is comprised of Seth Mosley, Tim Wilson (bass/background vocals) and Brian Dexter (drums/background vocals), was formed by Mosley after working two years in a recording studio following high school graduation.  After realizing he didn’t want to “sit in one place all the time,” was when he brought Wilson and Dexter on board to begin the musical journey as Me In Motion.  The talent of the group immediately brought them attention which led to 140 tour dates in 2008 and Me In Motion reached 165-dates in 2009.  But more than playing Brit-influenced rock, it’s the message that Me In Motion wants to impact with their audiences.

For more information on Me In Motion please visit, www.myspace.com/meinmotion or www.centricitymusic.com.
