Shine On Trio releases new single “When Heaven Gets Ready For Me”

 CHAPIN, SC —  The trio recently released their first major project with the label titled “Ready For Heaven” which is available on iTunes.   Their single “When Heaven Gets Ready for Me” hit the radio this month. 

 The members of Shine On include Roger Troutman, Cathy Troutman, and Brenda Quick.  They will be performing at the Lexington Church of God on April 29 at the 9am and 11am service. 

 The group performed on a Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas in January.  “We’ve been taken to places we’d never thought we’d go before,” said Roger Troutman when asked about his experience with the Nashville label. 

 Shine On also has a busy summer ahead for traveling.  They will be featured along with The Shireys on WBTI-TV out of Augusta, Ga on May 11 for an evening of live southern gospel music starting at 7pm.  They have recently finished the Homeland Inspiration Concert series and have toured in Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, and Tennessee.

The Cockman Family to Perform at Billy Graham Training Center

Asheville, NC – The Cockman Family will be performing at the Senior Salt Impact Event at the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in Asheville, NC on March 1. This program is designed to encourage senior adult believers to reach their friends and family for Jesus Christ.  “Your time at The Cove will begin with a buffet-style dinner followed by a worshipful evening of music and fellowship.” The cost is only $29 per person.  The Cockman Family is from Sherrill’s Ford, NC.
The band is made up of four brothers, their sister, and their dad.  The Cockman Family has been nominated for Bluegrass Artists of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year and Bluegrass Band of the Year by the Country Gospel Music Association (CGMA), and for Gold Cross Bluegrass Group of the Year by the International Country Gospel Music Association.
The Cockman Family was selected as one of “The 12 Most Creative Families In America” by American Greetings Cards and USA Today Weekend. The Cockman Family is listed in the North Carolina Arts Council for North Carolina Touring and Resident Artist Directory, and has produced a concert video that is aired regularly on the SET (Southern Entertainment Television) 24 hour satellite gospel programming network and other local TV stations around the country.

Eric Melton Begins Promotion Company

{Hendersonville, TN}Long time Gospel Music Industry Executive Eric Melton announces that effective immediately that he has left his position as Director of Media Relations at Homeland Inspiration Group and is beginning his own Promotion and PR Company.
“After spending over 17 years in the Nashville Music Industry plus a number of years in broadcasting in local radio and in National Satellite and Syndicated Radio, now has come the time that I must begin a new endeavor.  I have had the opportunity to represent numerous artists that are at the top of their genre over the years in Southern and Country Gospel, various genres in the Contemporary Christian Music fields, plus mainstream Country as well. God takes us through many phases of our lives I am thankful that a new day is on the horizon”.

Jim Sheldon Celebrates the Holiday Season with the Release of First Ever Christmas Recording

DANVILLE, Ky. – (December 6, 2011) – Homeland Inspiration Group recording artist Jim Sheldon is ringing in the holiday season with his first ever Christmas recording. The aptly-titled Christmas released last month on Mont Eagle Records and features Jim’s down home charm and Country flair. Christmas was produced by the award-winning Nick Bruno (Booth Brothers, Kingsmen) and industry leader Scott Godsey (Toney Brothers, Heirline). Homeland Artists Featured This Weekend On Gospel Greats

Nashville, TN-  Two Homeland/Riversong Recording artists will be featured this coming weekend on the Nationally known and award winning program The Gospel Greats with Paul Heil heard on most affiliate stations on Saturday August 14th and Sunday August 15th.
Newcomer Quartet Southern Tradition is the featured artist with songs from their debut release “Sing Along With Southern Tradition”.  Very insightful interviews take place with all of the members of the quartet, Ken and Mark Taylor, Thomas Nalley, Paul Allman and Tommy Fairchild.   Among the 5 songs that will be played will be the quartet’s first 2 radio singles “Sing Along Song” and the current single “That’s My Kind Of Music”.   
During the second hour Paul Heil visits with another one of the arising artists on the Homeland/Riversong label; The Fair Haven Quartet from London, Kentucky.  Paul visited with group members Mel Scarberry and Troy Baxter showcasing songs from their most recent 2 national recordings ” Songs and Smiles” and the most recent release of the project ” The Rocks Have To Wait”

Homeland Entertainment Group Signs His Praise Quartet

Nashville, TN- Heartwarming Records ( a division of Homeland Entertainment Group) announces the signing of a fresh new quartet to the national scene; His Praise Quartet. His Praise hails from Hopkinsville, Kentucky and although they formed in 2000 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in their home area it was not till July of 2004 they awarded the Grand champion at the Kentucky State Farm Bureau Quartet and eventually advanced the Group Talent Competition at the National Quartet Convention. Since that time the group has been singing regionally around their Kentucky and surrounding areas.

The quartet consists of Bass Dale Lisembe, Baritone Marc Thomas, Tenor Stephen Fryer and Lead Jesse Tewell. All four members have attended and graduated from the Steve Hurst School of Music and are currently seeing many doors begin to open with concerts in churches, civic centers, fairs and numerous festivals through the country. Now with Homeland/Heartwarming being their new label home their first label release “Holy Is Thy Name” produced by award winning producer Lari Goss is set to release in next month in mid July, with the debut single “A Wonderful Change” arriving at stations presently.

It is the desire of His Praise Quartet to serve the Lord Our God through song. It is our prayer that souls will be won for the Kingdom of Christ and that Christians will be renewed through the anointing of this Word.

Homeland Records Signs The Toney Brothers

Nashville, TN- Homeland Records ( a div. of Homeland Entertainment Group) announces their latest artist signed to the Homeland Label; The Legendary Toney Brothers of Gallatin, TN.   The Toney Brothers have been a staple artist in Gospel Music for almost 55 years and still perform in over 250 venues per year.  Group manager Terry Toney who has been with the quartet since 1972 still has a vision and passion to carry the torch that  his father and three uncles began in 1955.  Throughout their longevity of their career, the group has traveled millions of miles and have had numerous chart singles.  Their fans not only appreciate their prominent harmonies but also their sincerity at leading people to Jesus Christ and encouraging lyrics in today’s society.

The current lineup consists of Terry Toney singing bass, Gospel Music Veteran George Amon Webster (formerly of the Cathedral Quartet and Heartland Boys) singing baritone, Lead Vocalist Kasey Kemp (formerly of Naomi and The Segos) and newest member Judson Horner; tenor vocalist (also formerly of the Naomi and the Segos).

The Toney Brothers are currently in the studio beginning work on the yet to be titled project that is set to release on July 20th.  The project will include a few new songs combined with traditional quartet favorites.  This will be accompanied by a new DVD release as well from the Brush Arbor Jubilee Television series produced by Homeland Entertainment.  The Toney Brothers will be a regular featured artist on Brush Arbor Jubilee which begins airing nationwide on networks and cable television stations late spring and early summer.  Check the Brush Arbor Jubilee website for updates on scheduled listings.

Southern Legacy Signs with Homeland Entertainment Group

Nashville, TN- Heartwarming Records (a division of Homeland Entertainment Group) is excited to announce the signing of one of the Southern Gospel Music’s most electrifying family groups, Southern Legacy.

Southern Legacy’s history in gospel music is competition for even the most prominent of today’s groups. The members of Southern Legacy consist of Rick Dunn, his wife Cindy, their daughter Stephanie, and is headed under the direction of Stephanie’s husband Andy Browning. Each of these members bring a unique chapter to the story which is the foundation of Southern Legacy. Rick grew up the son of a pastor and developed a heart for ministry through music at a very early. Cindy and Stephanie both “grew up” in Southern Gospel Music. Cindy’s Father is GMA & SGMA Hall of Fame member Glen Allred, of the Legendary Florida Boys. Andy worked for several years as a music director and radio personality in his hometown of Knoxville, TN. Then after completing his education would go on to sing with one of the most respected names in Gospel Music, the Grammy Award winning Blackwoods. In addition, Andy was an active part of the Stamps-Baxter School of Music for 10 years. During this tenure he was offered the unique opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most well known names in Gospel music including Ben & Brock Speer, Gene McDonald, Jack Clark (the legendary pianist for the Harvesters Quartet), Bob McKenzie of Benson Music, and Bill Gaither.

Browning says “We do not take our history in Southern Gospel Music lightly. God has truly blessed us by allowing us to have so many friends and mentors in the Southern Gospel field. With that blessing comes responsibility, we are committed to the furtherance of this great music that has been entrusted to us.
