(Nashville, TN) StowTown recording artists, The Perrys, are pleased to announce veteran bass vocalist, emcee, and manager of the Perrys, Tracy Stuffle, has been named Christian Voice’s Living Legend for 2015. This honor was made public at the magazine’s 2015 Gospel Music Fan Awards held Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the 11th Annual Gospel Music FanFair in Somerset, KY.

Growing up in Morristown, TN, Tracy’s love of music and talent for speaking were both evident at a young age. He grew up loving the songs of the church and the classic sounds of southern gospel, which fueled his fire to sing this music himself. He won a speaking contest during his time in the Future Farmers of America club at school, an early sign of his talent for emceeing which would blossom later as a member of the Perrys. Tracy joined this family group in 1985 and subsequently married original member of the group, Libbi Perry Stuffle. The couple now own and manage the group. This year, Tracy celebrates 30 years as the bass vocalist for the Perrys, and is touted as one of the most dynamic emcees of the past 20 years. His talents have been awarded multiple times with the group’s honors for Favorite Mixed Group, Favorite Album, and Favorite Song of the year by Singing News Magazine, and the group has numerous number one songs to their credit.

Tracy was excited to have been nominated for Christian Voice’s Living Legend award along side such legendary names as Ronny Hinson, Tim Riley, Mark Lowry, and Jeanette Cook, among others. When he found out he had won, he was very excited and wanted to send a special thank you to those who voted for him, those who have supported the Perrys’ ministry for the past nearly 45 years, and especially for those who have continued to pray for his recovery during the past two-and-a-half years following a major stroke and five brain bleeds in January 2013.

Continuing to sing and emcee each night, Tracy is more excited than ever to be on stage, telling the story of God’s faithfulness, healing, and miracles. His longevity in the industry and the successful run of the Perrys under his leadership certainly qualify him for this honor of Living Legend. Libbi and Jared Stuffle, Troy Peach, and Andrew Goldman are thrilled to share the news of this honor with their many fans.
