More New Years Resolutions For 2021. Staying positive in difficult times.

New Year’s resolutions are a big focus this time of year. With 2020 rapidly coming to a close, many people will be looking forward to the year ahead and hoping that it is the best year possible.

Millions around the world will be setting New Year’s resolutions, which will typically involve some form of self-improvement. Mine is simply, enjoy the little things in life. The older I get, the more I realize that they are the things that really matter. I want to be a better “Vonda” in 2021.  I certainly want to tell more people about Jesus this year than ever before. He is the best thing that’s ever happened to me!

I asked some of our writers ,staff, and friends at SGN Scoops what are they looking forward to in 2021.

Here’s what some had to say.  Feel free to put your resolutions in the comments below.

Paula Hendrick (HYM )

My plan for 2021 is to be a better me, both physically and spiritually. To pray more, study more and let go of worry and let God work in me. To love my family and friends more! Not take anything or anyone for granted.
To be encouraging and witness more. Be more thankful even if I don’t understand and to realize I’m still breathing because God has a purpose for me.

Jantina de Haan-Baksteen (SGN SCOOPS)

My resolution would be more of  Him and less me. I’m more a listener than a speaker,  so I would use that to be a help to those who need a shoulder.

Mark Dubbeld (Mark Dubbeld Family)

We reflect on the Faithfulness of God in 2020 and Celebrate the New Year with Confidence that His Mercy Endureth Forever!

Logan Smith (11th Hour)

If I’ve learned anything in 2020, life is short. We’ve lost so many precious family members and friends this past year. I plan on holding those around me a little closer in 2021 and making all the memories I can. At the end of the day, that’s what lasts anyway….memories! Happy New Year, everyone!

I

Randa Jordan (Jordan Family Band)

In 2021 one of my resolutions is to OVERCOME! “…we are more than conquerors through him that loved us …”Romans 8:37

Robbie Maxwell (New Ground)

My resolution would be to continue walking. Since we have been unable to sing because of the pandemic I have taken a job at Cathedral Caverns near our home as a Tour Guide!!!! I am walking over five miles a day and I feel sooooo much better!!!! I want to continue this for 2021!

Billy Walker (The Walkers)

Our goal for 2021 is to continue to seek His will in all we do (Proverbs 3:6) and not to focus on the challenges that try to take our eyes off of Him. We want to keep ourselves healthy and fit so we can keep up with all the blessings we will encounter.

Charlie Sexton (Charlie Sexton & Homecoming)

I go into 2021 with a renewed love for my family, and a desire to be the best ‘me’ I can be. I also want to spend more time hiding The Word in my heart, because there could soon come a time when we no longer have it to hold in our hands.

Donnie Cox ( Quartet Time, WSNL)
My New Year’s resolution…is to “make myself available to my loved ones who need me… and be an affective person in their lives…”

Jack Armstrong (Bibletones QT)

The year 2020 has taught me not to take anything for granted. My New Years Resolution is to appreciate more the times we get to minister and to take every opportunity to go to church, pray, and read my Bible.

Matthew Browder (The Browders)

My New Years Resolution is to read the Word of God EVERYDAY!

Matthew Browder

Tonja Rose (Tonja Rose)

I  don’t really do New Years Resolutions but I do try to choose a word that I can turn to in my daily living, my daily actions, my family, my ups and downs and my ministry.  For me, in 2021, that word is TRUST.  I will trust God with my daily life.  I will trust God to be with me and guide me in all my actions.  I will trust God with my family. I will trust God knows the plans He has for me and my ministry and I will trust him with those plans.

“Those who know Your name trust You because You have not abandoned those who seek You, Lord”
Psalms 9:10

Lance Driskell (Lance Driskell)

My 2021 Resolution is to slow down and spend more time with my family.  2020 was crazy and we ran constantly it seemed.

Jamie May (Bibletones)

My New Years Resolution is to climb a few more rungs on the ladder of faith, spend more time writing music, and learn to play the harmonica.

Jamie and Grandson…..

Les Butler (Old Time Preachers Quartet)

Spending several weeks in the hospital and ICU tends to change ones life.  Among the many things the Lord showed me during that time, included having a more serious prayer life.  No More “Pansy Praying”. It’s time for “POWER PRAYING”

In 2021, my goal is to get more healthy and to just enjoy life and the blessings of God . We aren’t promised another day . Be grateful 🙂

My New Year’s resolution for 2021 is to focus on things that really matter and to enjoy it in the process.

Gerald Crabb

Richard Hyssong, The Hyssongs

I am always working and have many irons in the fire. My new year’s resolution would be to work on time management.

Greg Sullivan, Greg Sullivan Ministries

My 2021 New Year’s resolution is to gain a deeper understanding of God’s word in order to increase my effectiveness in ministry.

Rob Patz, SGN SCOOPS Magazine

As we look forward to 2021 we must also looked back at 2020 and realize that God had a plan for a year that none of us expected. I truly believe that 2021 will be a year full of incredible blessings. My resolution for this coming year is to focus more on what God wants for the Ministries that he has allowed me to be involved in.  My biggest goal for 2021 is to point more people to Christ than I have in any year past.
