Daywind Records Receives Two GRAMMY® Nominations

Hendersonville, Tenn. (December 2, 2010) – During the GRAMMY® Nominations Concert Live: Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night, held last night in Los Angeles, Calif., the Recording Academy® announced the nominees for the 53rd Annual GRAMMY® Awards.  Daywind Records’ artists, Karen Peck & New River and
Austins Bridge both received nominations for Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album, for their recent releases, Live At Oak Tree: Karen Peck & New River and Times Like These.

The Live At Oak Tree: Karen Peck & New River recording is part of the Live At Oak Tree series, produced by Paul Corley, Tre Corley, Norman Holland, Michael Turner and Shannon Lancaster. These live studio recordings are released as CDs and DVDs, and can be seen on INSP and Family Net.  This is Karen Peck & New River’s 3rd GRAMMY® nomination, having previously been nominated for the albums Ephesians One and Journey Of Joy.

It is an honor to be nominated for the Grammy and to be associated with such a great recording label as Daywind,” says the group’s lead vocalist, Karen Peck Gooch. “This project was definitely a team effort. This is the first nomination for Austins Bridge, who worked with Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus to record the country-inspired Times Like These.  “I’m very proud of Austins Bridge for their GRAMMY® nomination,” comments producer Jay DeMarcus. “It’s an honor to be nominated and recognized for our work together.”

The 53rd Annual GRAMMY® Awards will be held on “GRAMMY® Sunday,” Feb. 13, 2011, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and aired live on CBS at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
