Jason Crabb performs the National Anthem to kick off the GET MOTIVATED Conference in Nashville, TN

new CD and DVD from Jason Crabb, released to retailers and online stores everywhere this week. The release, recorded live at the historic Loveless Café Barn in Nashville, TN, features renditions of Gospel classics and church favorites from Crabb and his band. The release also features performances by the Gaither Vocal Band, The Crabb Family, The Isaacs and Oak Ridge Boy William Lee Golden.Crabb started street week off on Monday with a bang, performing for a sold-out crowd of over 16,000 attendees at the Bridgestone Arena in downtown, Nashville, TN, at the popular GET MOTIVATED Seminar. Jason shared the stage with personalities including General Colin Powell, Steve Forbes, Bill Cosby, Rudy Giuliani and Mary Buffett. The GET MOTIVATED Seminar is a blockbuster, one-day seminar that offers strategies to sharpen business skills, ignite motivation, accelerate effectiveness and increase incomes. Known for a uniquely commercial vocal style that blurs the lines between musical genres, Crabb, along with the legendary Bill Gaither, collaborated to select songs for The Song Lives On–songs that Crabb grew up singing in his hometown church and tunes that remain his favorites today.“I remember sitting in church with Grandma, listening to the members of the congregation ‘shout out’ the next song they wanted to sing,” Crabb recalls with a smile. “’#333!’ one member would yell. ‘242!’ another person would call out. People would spontaneously get up and share a song with the congregation. I wanted to recapture these kinds of songs and preserve them for today and for the future.”Some of those “specials and songs” include hits such as “Who Am I” (the first radio single), “Beulah Land,” “God on the Mountain,” “Midnight Cry,” “I Saw the Light,” “Until Then” and “Why Me,” among others. The release includes a new version of Crabb’s GMA DOVE Award-winning Song of the Year for 2011 “Sometimes I Cry.”

Jason caught up with some of his longtime friends in the Gospel radio market this week during a series of on-air interviews promoting the new release, and he will be featured on several Nashville-based tv outlets as well. In addition to recording a new edition of his show on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Jason will be traveling over the next few weeks to cities in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas and North Carolina in promotion of the new release.
