Eighth Day Renews Publicity Contract with SSE

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Popular Southern Gospel trio Eighth Day has just renewed their contract with Southern Spin Entertainment.  The group has signed on for another year of exclusive publicity from Southern Spin Entertainment.  Eighth Day will continue to have access to all media publications serviced by Southern Spin Entertainment, as well as marketing possibilities with the organization.

Scott Robinson of Eighth Day said, “We appreciate the work that Chris and Amy and everyone at SSE has done for our ministry.  They are a vital part of our support team now!  We look forward to our third year with the company.”

“Scott, Joni and Derek are the real deal,” remarked Amy Marie Unthank of SSE Group, Inc.  “We have loved working with them thus far, and we can’t wait to see what this next year holds for the group!”

Eighth Day just released their third single from the SGN Music Award nominated project Everything Holy.  The song – “Trust His Heart” – was sent to radio earlier this month.

2009 was a banner year for Eighth Day – as they scored their second consecutive Top 20 hit with the single “Everything Holy.”  The group’s current release – “The Veil Was Torn” – is on the verge of breaking the Top 20 – charting at #21 for the November 2009 issue of the Singing News Magazine Top 80 chart.  In addition – the group scored their first two SGN Music Award nominations this year – landing in the categories of Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Country/Bluegrass Album of the Year for Everything Holy.  The group was also a featured performer at the awards program this past April.
