JACKSON, Miss. – Georgia-based family group The English Family released their new single amidst industry buzz and coverage. The group’s new single, “Send Down Your Angels,” was released to Southern Gospel radio this month through Crossroads Music Group’s digital releases and radio compilation disc.

“Send Down Your Angels” was written by 16-year old group member Jacob English and features stellar vocal performances from Jacob and group patriarch Phillip English.

Phillip said, “When Jacob came to me with this song, we knew that this was going to be the kind of song that we would be singing for years. He did such a fantastic job on it, and we are so proud of him. To see other people responding to the song now just confirms it for us!”

Industry leaders and members of the Southern Gospel community have been spreading the word about the new song, which is the debut single from the group’s Mansion Records debut Out of the Wilderness.

Recording artist and award-winning songwriter Phil Cross said this about the song: “I’ve had the blessing of hearing and experiencing ‘Send Down Your Angels’ from The English Family. The message in this anointed song is a powerful reminder of God’s love. The singing by this talented family is amazing. I simply love this song and this family and expect big news from both as others discover them.”

The men of Crystal River also expressed similar feelings: “We were sitting in a hotel room in Louisville Kentucky, when we came across The English Family’s CD, so we took a listen and we were blown away! Being in this industry, we hear a lot of great songs, ‘Send Down Your Angels’ is one of those songs! Radio needs this song!”

Deon Unthank of SoGospelNews.com said this about the song: “I had the chance to hear them debut this song this summer at the Branson Gospel Music Convention, and I was blown away. This is a career making song!”

“Send Down Your Angels” is being promoted to Southern Gospel radio by Patterson Promotions and is already making a stir in just a few short days at radio.

The English Family is also making the rounds at Southern Gospel media – including a feature article on the September update of SoGospelNews.com, a feature article in an upcoming issue of Singing News Magazine, and well as feature interviews with other Southern Gospel media like SGMRadio.com, SGN Scoops Digital, and Gospel Music Today.

“Send Down Your Angels” is the debut single from the group’s highly anticipated sophomore album and debut Mansion Records release Out of the Wilderness. Out of the Wilderness features that familiar Southern Gospel sound that the English Family is known for with a unique blues and soul twist – much in part to the increasing talent of 16-year old Jacob English as a songwriter and vocalist. Jacob wrote three of the album’s seven original songs.
