CHATTANOOGA, TN – Former members, Phil Cross, Howard Stewart and Philip Hare, of Poet Voices along with Jump Keys announce they have reunited to begin a new musical journey as Highland Park.  Newly formed Highland Park is no stranger to Christian music. Phil shares, “Howard, Philip and I met at my house in Highland Park and began dreaming of forming a band and touring together again.  Jump Keys is a long-time acquaintance that is heavily involved in the music scene in our area so it seemed like a natural fit musically for him to be a part. We are extremely grateful for our years as Poet Voices, but this is not another version of that group.  We felt it would be fitting to choose a new name and since Highland Park is where we began dreaming, we felt that Highland Park was the perfect choice.” Philip adds, “We are excited to offer something different musically as a band with live instruments.  Our shows will be full of stories, music and memories with Howard and I playing keys, Phil on bass guitar and Jump on guitar.” The new band will encompass their deep roots of Southern Gospel Music mixed with a lifetime of musical influences.

Their debut single, Gonna Get Baptized, has already been released to radio and is making its way up the charts.  It is quickly becoming a fan favorite and was chosen as a hit pick by several DJs.  “With this new chapter we are not worried about any certain style of music, or labels,” says Philip.  “We just want to do great music that we feel reflects our musical influences and presents the Gospel.”

April Potter Agency will be handling Highland Park’s scheduling as well as management.  “After a successful run with Poet Voices as their booking agent years ago, I am even more excited about this new adventure with Highland Park.  The response has been overwhelming not only from fans but industry professionals and fellow artists,” says April Potter.

Howard shares, “We are thrilled to be working with April again.  She has always believed in us and we love April like family.  Her fresh marketing ideas and vision for the future, makes a perfect fit for where we are headed.”

Highland Park’s official tour schedule kicks off in January 2017, although they are playing a few dates through the end of 2016.  For more information on Highland Park, visit their website at www.highlandpark.online or to schedule them at your event, check out www.apotteragency.com or call 615-479-0954.
