Heavens Highway Makes Big Impression at Southern Gospel Radio

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Powerful Country/Southern Gospel group Heavens Highway has been making their mark on Southern Gospel radio.

Heavens Highway’s latest single – “Longing to Go” – became the group’s first Top 10 New Release according to the October 2009 issue of the Singing News Magazine. “Longing to Go” ranked #7 among all new releases with seven out-of-the-box adds for the song making it one of the most added songs for that reporting period.

David Timms of Heavens Highway said, “We are so thankful that Southern Gospel radio has gotten behind our current single. This is a great song that seems to be impacting a lot of people around the nation. We appreciate the support that radio has given us with this song.”

“Longing to Go” was written by GMA Dove Award winning songwriter Gerald Crabb (“Through the Fire,” “Hold Me While I Cry”) and can be found on the group’s latest release – Deep Roots.

In addition to being one of the most added songs at radio, “Longing to Go” debuted this week on the SoGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart – the industry’s most recognized weekly chart. The song was this week’s highest debut and is currently charting at #35.

“We are very excited to see where God is taking this song,” mentioned Timms. “This song is just as much an encouragement to us as it is to the people that we minister to and speaks simply of longing to go to Heaven. It’s such an eternal truth for believers! We’re excited to see it connect with people!”

“Longing to Go” is being pushed to radio through Spin-N-Motions Promotions. The song can be found on Spin-N-Motion Radio Promotions August 2009 compilation, cut #4.

Heavens Highway recently reached a publicity and internet promotions agreement with Southern Spin Entertainment.
